Your Stone Barn Wedding Photography
Stone Barn is one of the larger barns here in the Cotswolds, licensed for civil marriage ceremonies, with space for up to 200 seated guests.
The barn is part of the Cripps & Co group who have vast knowledge of how to create and run epic wedding venues!
I will always join the bride for a couple of hours in the morning to get those all important getting ready shots - the hair, the make up, the dress, the shoes and all the fun banter between you and the girls of course!
Although Stone barn doesn’t have any onsite accommodation, they do have various pubs and sites that they recommend, within a short drive.
Around half an hour before the ceremony, that’s when I like to get across to Stone barn ready for your special moment of saying the I do’s. This time allows me to get some empty shots of the barn, your guests arriving, your groom and groomsmen and of course your arrival too!
I love the space in the barn and it’s “flow” of events - when you walk out as Mr & Mrs, you can head straight out the front, or down into the barn for photographs whilst your guests come out and assemble ready for the confetti shots! Flowing straight through nicely into the mingling.
The grounds at the barn are beautiful - very serene and offer fantastic backdrops. Whether thats the corrugated barn, the glass windows or the surrounding wheat fields, brilliant photo opportunities without the need to venture too far.
and of course, not forgetting your loved ones. These formals take no longer than about 20 minutes..
I love how open the Stone Barn is - it has that ultimate wow factor as soon as you walk in, and those little twinkly ceiling lights make it for me!
I love the entrance at Stone Barn for your wedding breakfast, its a great way to come in announced as Mr & Mrs, proudly walking down them stairs as husband and wife..
With the top table under the balcony, it makes for a great viewing from your perspective as you can see all your loved ones and enjoy that scenic view out the tall glass windows. It’s any photographers dream with that light flooding in too and plenty of space to roam for us to get those fun speech shots!
The great thing about the two barns is that whilst you are having your wedding breakfast and speeches in one, the evening DJ / band can set up in the other, ready to go as soon as you are. Of course, always love making the most of those golden hours that Stone Barn bathes in so well too!
