Getting the most out of your photographs
The thought of having your photograph taken all day long can be daunting and if you aren’t a natural in front of the camera, the worry of having a photographer with you on your day can be rather overwhelming.
Here are a few of my own top tips to help you relax and get the very best photographs on your wedding day.
Pre Wedding Photoshoots
They aren’t for everyone but this will give you the opportunity to have a shoot with me, get to know me and realise there is nothing to worry about. I will always help with subtle direction (nothing cheesy, I promise!) and ensure you have a really fun time.
Formal Pictures
There is a stigma around formal pictures that they just go on and on for hours, but this doesn’t have to be the case. I discuss who you would like in your formal pictures before the day so on the day, you can relax. I can quietly and discreetly organise your family and friends, and get those formal pictures done in 20 minutes. No fake smiles. no aching cheeks - easy! :)
“Posing”
How you stand can make or break a great image - I will always be there to help guide you in your couples photos. But the best tip of all is the more relaxed you are, the more natural you will be and this always shows in images. For the men, hands can develop a life of their own and can often look out of place when you are trying to pose - put a hand in one trouser pocket, hold your mrs hand, cuddle in, something that feels natural but also looks natural and fab.
Trust
The best thing to do ultimately Is trust me :)
Trust me to be there to capture those special little glances, those happy tears and warm hugs. I will be there all day to soak up your magical day and ensure I don’t miss any of the good stuff. If you love my previous work (check out hundreds of weddings here on the blog) and instagram too - then be assured, those couples you see here probably felt as nervous as you did in front of the camera. Can you tell? Nope. They smashed it and so will you!
